Wedding Again

What I Wore:
Dress: Francesca's - $14
Belt: Anthro via eBay - $30
Shoes: Shoe Dept - $30
Necklace: eBay - $14

I wore this outfit to our fifth wedding of the summer. I guess once you hit your mid-late twenties, everyone starts getting married and having babies rapid-fire. Not that you can rapid-fire have a baby. I understand that it's a process, k? I'm just saying that between showers, weddings, babies, kids' birthday parties, and housewarming parties, I'm running out of dresses and ways to wear them. A new dress for $14 isn't a bad investment--and I'll be wearing this one at our own housewarming party that our friends are throwing us this weekend (because it was the only weekend without a wedding or other major event until September... seriously...).

I wanted to show you guys the back of this dress because it's so different from the front, and it took me about twenty pictures to finally get the one I did. It's still not great, but taking a picture of yourself from the back is so much harder to arrange and pose than from the front. Either way, this is a fantastic summer dress!

XO,

Such a pretty dress! I don't usually like florals, but this dress is very cute.
I know what you mean about rapid-fire weddings and babies. I'm 25, and I feel like everyone I know is getting engaged, married, or pregnant these days!

What a cute dress! And I totally feel you on the "err'body gettin' hitched/poppin' out kids" thing. (Don't know why I made that sound so ghetto, but I'm rolling with it.) It's chaos. Pure, expensive chaos.

That dress is adorable on you! I love it! I got married and had a baby relatively young, so now that all my friends are doing the same thing, my reaction is more along the lines of "about damn time" haha.

The back of that dress is so unexpected and fun! And by the way...completely had a "what?!" reaction when I saw the price you paid for that dress - such a great find!

Love the dress! Hope this isn't too much of a personal question, but what kind of bra do you wear with that dress? I finally got one of those low-back extender things that works with one's regular bra to wear with my low-back halter dress. But thinking about "what bra would I wear with that?" is definitely a real-life kind of question for us ladies, isn't it? :)

OMG, this is such a fun look and I can't believe you've gone to 5 weddings already. I guess you're right though about the late 20's thing, it definitely starts happening more. I love this dress and the unique cut in the back. It's classy and perfect for a wedding. Great accessories too!

We still have a lot more to go! There's so much to celebrate! :)
Thanks so much!

Glad to see you back! :) Thanks so much!

I think you're right--it is a practical question! I just didn't want to get all in it in my post (because I know several of my students found my blog and that would just be awkward, right?). I actually have a shelf bra cami that I wore -- I adjusted the straps so the back was really low and the top kept things covered. I'm sure there's a better way to do it as opposed to my last minute hack! ha!

I had the same reaction when I did the math for the cost of the dress! It's unique enough that I can pull it off for multiple occasions!

It was exactly what I was looking for when I found it! So perfect! Thanks!

Thanks so much! I can't believe I waited this long to try a pixie! I'm loving it!

Francesca's is a fun place just to browse--occasionally I'll come across something really great for a good price!

We still don't have WiFi at our house yet, so I'm not as active on everyone's blogs lately. As soon as it gets up and running I'll be around! :)

Ha! I was one of the first of my friends to get married, too, but obviously one of the last to hold out on babies! Everyone seems to be catching up and zooming right past us! haha!

HAHAHA! Yes to the ghetto explanation. I was totally on board with you. :) It's chaos, but it's absolutely beautiful to have so much love and celebration around us!

I'm 25, too, so I know exactly what you mean. I usually don't like printed dresses, but this one really stood out to me! :) Thanks, Caroline!

I thought it was a little different and fun! Thanks!

So true! I think I would've bought it no matter the price--but I'm definitely glad it was on sale!

Well said! I need to keep that in mind every time it feels overwhelming :)

Thanks -- and that's a good idea, to put those adjustable straps to good use!

LOOOVE the back of that dress! So gorgeous...and only $14?! I'm impressed! (Yeah I feel like my Facebook feed is full of weddings and babies...and Pinterest for that matter!)
