Porch Diaries

What I Wore:
Sweater: Old Navy - $20
Jeans: Target - $20
Belt: From a skirt
Sandals - Birthday gift
Monogram necklace - Amazon - $43
Gem Necklace - Target - $9

I think I should have named my blog something like "Porch Diaries" because I have consistently taken pictures on porches throughout the duration of my blog so far. The posts for the next couple of weeks get to enjoy some natural light -- thanks for your thoughts on my last post! Bloggers have issues, guys. It's true. We do.

XO,

Ooooh I love this! You are looking fabulous as always. All my blog pictures are taken on my back porch because it's basically the only place that works even if it's raining or "too" sunny.

Love the polka dots!

I like the ensemble altogether ... I think I am going to try something on parallel lines tomorrow.

Your hair is just so adorable!! I love short hair I just don't have the hair type (or guts) to chop it off!

I so wish I had a porch! Love the polka dots here! :)

I felt serious outfit envy when I saw your post this morning. I had to go away, count to ten, and then come back. SRSLY ADORBS, 4REELS, Whitney!

Your hair is just gorgeous...I like it more and more every time I see it!

Love the shirt with that belt--too cute!

Whitney said...

yes... because your issue is looking so cute and good all the time, right? hehe =]

Eee! More polka dots! I'm on the hunt for a navy polka dot skirt, but I might settle for that shirt--it looks so cute on you!

I love polka dots! Definitely didn't mean to post two days in a row of them! ha! :) I found my polka dot pencil at Target a while back, but I know there are some at J. Crew right now! :)

Oh, puhlease...if only you knew how untrue that is! I'm sure you have plenty of experience with that, though. ;)

It's the only way it fits without being all tent-like on me! That's what I get for ordering it online without trying it in the store first!

Thank you so much! You are too kind! I think it has grown out a little from its initial cut, so I think I'm going to keep it around this length for a while.

haha! You are hilarious, Josie! I'm glad that you came back, though! :)

It definitely makes picture-taking a little easier!

My husband said the same thing -- he rarely comments on my outfits, so I knew this one was a winner!

Whitney said...

Not random at all! I think there's something cutesy about the combo? :) Thanks, Tara!

I think it's one of my favorites, too! Thank you!

Thank you, Meghan! It's quite a change, but I am so glad I did it! :) It's a commitment, so definitely be certain before you do it!

I'm so glad I inspired you, Ruby!

Polka dots forever! :)

Thanks so much! That's exactly why I took pictures on my back porch at our first house. It also afforded me enough privacy so I didn't have to worry about anyone prying or giving me weird looks.

Thanks, Ginny! The top is definitely a little on the big side, so adding in a belt definitely helps hide that...but also makes it look a little more "together" than just a top and jeans, right?

Whitney said...

I love your hair! And polka dots! And the belt! And your new porch looks pretty (brick is totally in right now).

I'm a big fan of my new house in general -- the porch is just a fun perk! :)
I think that Tara hit the nail on the head -- polka dots and short hair just go together!

Your hair is looking gorgeous here! Also, I love the navy and cognac together - so lovely! I'm jealous of your beautiful porch too :)

Thanks so much, Brynn! We're really enjoying our new house -- every inch of it!
