Suggested

What I Wore:
Skirt: My talented mom
Belt: Target - $13
Shoes: Zooshoes - $25
Tank: Target - $15
Cardigan: LOFT - $18 (giftcarded)
Earrings: Pike's Place Market in Seattle

The last time I wore this skirt, someone commented that they liked the idea of this skirt with darker colors. Being the diplomatic blogger that I am, I thought I'd try to create a non-pastel centric version of the outfit. I still like the idea of it with a navy cardigan...and the good news is that it has a place in my closet so I can wear it with a navy cardigan at some point in the future.

Side note: Feel free to suggest that I need a tan or something. I'm starting to become transparently pale in my pictures.

You tell me. If you had this skirt in your closet, with what would you wear it?

Bright pink and navy!

This looks so much better than the last time! Have you tried to wear a brown-ish sweater instead of the gray once?

I really like this styling! I think it'd look nice with navy or pink, too.

If I had this skirt in my closet, I would wear it all the time. With black, white, red, a dark pink, a green, the colors are endless. You definitely have enough cardis to wear it with!

Happy Friday!

I really really love this. Huge fan of the mustard + gray!

You might be able to put this skirt with anything, and I'd love it.

I always love when you wear that skirt, it is so much fun!

I second Christine's comment below. The skirt is so amazing that anything would look great with it. I'd do a plain white top, chambray, purple, and maybe I'd even try some kind of animal print. I can't wait to see how else you wear it!

What an amazing skirt! I wish my mom could make me something like that :)

Oh my goodness! I have that belt and top too! The mustard with the light blue chevron looks great! I would have never thought!

I love that skirt your mom made - and the pairing with the honey mustard is a fantastic out-of-the-box color combo!

I love wearing this skirt...and I'm pretty sure mustard is now considered a neutral, right? haha!

My mom is super talented, I'm telling you! :) I can't think of any color that I wouldn't wear with mustard yellow. It's an easy go-to!

Awesome! I have a thing for ruffly tanks for some reason! I like yellow with pretty much anything!

Thanks, Ashley! I am definitely a lucky girl!

mustard + any color = perfect.
Right?

ooooh! Green! Good idea! :) I like that!

I agree -- navy and/or pink would be a fun combo!

I don't have a brown sweater to wear with it--but I have a light tan one that would look pretty with it for spring!

Agreed!

I've been working on her for a LONG time! I think she'd be great with an Etsy shop, but she's so busy that I think she worries that she might not be able to fulfill orders. I'll let you guys know if that ever changes!
