My sister is in town on shore leave, so I've been lucky to spend a lot of time with her!
We've been hanging out so much and so late that I wake up foggy-eyed and non-refreshed (my sleep app has been going off as close to the end of the 30 minute timeframe as possible...so that should tell you that my body is trying to sleep in as much as possible). I've also been, um, eating like a young woman in the Navy...basically, my usual daily diet has gone to pieces because I've been eating a lot more junk than usual...so my body is all kinds of thrown off this week. I've even forgotten to put together my weekly outfits or even make outfits the night before, so this entire week has been a distracted, muddled mess (except for work, of course -- I've got my lesson plans solid through the end of the school year...there better not be a tornado or anything crazy to throw it off, but that's another story). Hopefully, my outfits this week haven't been too sloppy or noticeably "off." If they have, it has been wholly worth the time I get to spend with my sister. She'll be here for a couple more weeks, but I plan to look like a serious style blogger for the remainder of her visit. Promise that I'll at least try.

miss w, you always look professional & put together! maybe that just goes to show what a pro you are in putting together pieces in your own closet. i seriously lay in bed every night staring at my closet until my eyes land on an item and i figure out what to pair with it, haha. i love this skirt and how you paired it with oranges/maroons. and it sounds like you've been having a great time with your sister!!
Thanks so much, Heidi! It has been great having her home! We've spent almost every evening together. :) I do the same thing with my closet, for real. I think that we're not alone in that. OR I hope not.

Such is the life of a style blogger, right? I'm starting to feel that itch, too...but it's that time of the year that has the most unpredictable weather, so I pretty much have to play it day-by-day until spring/summer!

I bet! My brother just moved back to Minnesota in August from living in Alaska for 3 years...I always got so excited when he would come home to visit :) We'd pack our days full of things to do. I'm glad you have a couple more weeks with her :)
Your outfits look great! Sometimes I think we overthink it :) And enjoy that leave with your sister--that's important stuff. We've got a lot of deployment coming and goings in my old milspouse circle lately---makes one's heart both soar and break all in one, ya know. Love on her while she's here!!
