What I Wore:
Shoes: H&M - $25
Skirt: Target - $23 (giftcarded)
Sweater: Target - $14
Necklace: Francesca's - $18
When I have no clue what to put together for work (or I just don't feel like putting extra effort into deciding what I want to wear), I typically put together a solid top with a co-ordinating pencil skirt. Groundbreaking, right? My big secret, of course, is having skirts with multiple colors in them (again, no new news here today), so I can grab anything in my early morning stupor and look like I did it intentionally.
We've had some crazy weather, and I woke up to a tornado siren at 5:47 AM, so I quickly texted my boss and told her I might be late, but I still managed to pull something together and get out the door. I just wish I would have thought to toss on a belt...
Hey, have I reminded you enough about my giveaway yet?
XO,

I like this color combo. I need to add a floral pencil skirt to my collection.
Cute skirt! I do the same thing all the time, only for me it's "throw on pants and a solid top." Skirts are too cold for Ohio winters :)
Love this outfit! I was actually thinking, Maybe I'll steal this look for Monday when I meet with my boss!
Love it - very simple with a few signature Whitney touches: a colorful necklace and colorful shoes :)
Really cute - I like that you didn't pull out the dominant color in the print (red). I need to add a printed skirt or two to my closet ... :)
That skirt is lovely and so perfect with green. And scary about about the tornado, glad you're ok!
Love that skirt...and it can be worn in all seasons which is great!
Really cute and I agree with PP, I love that you picked up on the green instead of the read in the skirt. I need to get myself to Target and pick that skirt up pronto! It's adorbs x
Love this combo---especially with the shirt/shoes being the least color in the skirt---coordinates but contrasts---awesomeness :)
So happy to see this skirt on someone else, I've been on the fence about it. Cute outfit, girl!
beautiful as always!
You're so sweet! Thank you!
I really like this skirt! I have a lot of plans for it!!!
I thought it was a fun way to "introduce" the skirt...but I will definitely pair it with the other colors at some point! :)
I like that there are so many colors in the skirt -- and I am excited about playing with different colors and patterns. Brace yourself, you're going to see this a lot!
That's exactly what I thought when I got it! The black balances out the floral perfectly.
I am a big fan of greens and turquoise. I'm glad that we didn't have to deal with worse weather than we did. Better safe than sorry, though!
I will definitely pair it with red/orange at some point, but I thought this was a perfect "first time" wear!
I love that I have signature touches. ;) haha! I certainly haven't thought of it that way! haha!
Thanks, Brynn!
Oooh! I hope you do! It's a great and simple outfit for that kind of thing!
I love that we all have a fall-back to go to when we are feeling lazy! ;)
Yes! I highly recommend it! :)
Well, I did have it written down as a possible combo, so I'm grateful I keep a running idea list for outfits!
I made it to work on time -- I just thought being safe was the best idea!
You look so lady like in this outfit! not that you dont look ladylike on other days, but I guess I should say, you look ESPECIALLY ladylike in this outfit :)
love it. that is such a great skirt. i've had my eye on it, too!
You should definitely consider it! I'm loving all the ideas I have for it!
Aw, thanks, Kimmie! I think it's the fun and vibrant colors in the skirt -- it definitely pulls double duty!
