Saving it For Later

What I Wore
Skirt: Made by my mom
Tank: Target - $17
Cardigan: NY&Co - $20
Belt: Target - $6
Wedges: Target - $6
Necklace: Target - $20
Earrings: Forever21 - $3

This is an outfit that I stored in the back of my mind and I've been saving for a while. I tend to do that with outfits that my brain deems "really super greatly awesome." I don't know why. but I always feel like I'm going to run out of ideas if I wear all of the awesome outfits right away...so I save it for some kind of event.

Because (like the e-card I spent 20 minutes searching to find but couldn't locate it anywhere says), one of my biggest fears is wearing a fabulous outfit on a below-average day. It's sad how much that's true.
But it's also true that when I wear an outfit like this, I wear it for the next three weekends (as long as I see different people each time, of course).

XO,

What a fantastic outfit. This doesn't need to be "saved" this is one of those outfits you can wear with different color skirts or cardis all the time. I'd totally remix this every day if it was socially acceptable!

Adorable as always, I love the color of that skirt!

I do the same thing! I save an outfit for a "special" occasion, but then I wear to everything for a few weeks after that.

All your outfits are cute! But I definitely know what you mean, thats me everyday! Try this link: http://static.someecards.com/someecards/usercards/1340562795897_3616789.png If it doesn't work, just type "I have an irrational fear of wasting a good outfit" into google images and a few will come up. =)

Gorgeous outfit! The color of that skirt is beautiful and the necklace and belt really add to the outfit. :) I'm glad you're enjoying it now vs. saving it for later! :)

I do the same freaking thing! Saving really stellar outfits or pieces almost like I'm "afraid" they won't live up to my expectations or something? I don't really know! Love the skirt! Once I get around to cutting off and hemming that ball-gown skirt I made, it'll look really similar and I'll have to try to re-create a similar look to this.

That is too funny! I'm glad that I'm not a complete weirdo. ;)
I can't wait to see the skirt! You are so talented!

Thank you, Ruby. Fuchsia is one of my favorite colors--it was actually one of my wedding colors (paired it with black and white).

Thank you! My mom did a great job with the skirt!
I agree that I need to just wear an outfit as I think of it instead of hoarding it.

Aw! Thank you!

I like that phrase (epic outfit!). Definitely using it. haha!
I'm definitely going to reply soon! I have been busy all week at in-service and then have cheer camp this weekend, so I haven't had time to type out my thoughts! I will!

YES! THAT ONE! Thank you!!!! :)

Good to know I'm not the only one!

I agree, Clare! I have plans for a yellow skirt and all kinds of different cardigans.
