Jinkies!

What I Wore:
Leopard shoes: Old Navy - $7
Skirt: Thrifted - $1.75
Shirt: Old Navy - $7
Necklace: Target - $20
Belts: from skirts

At the risk of sounding like a depressing broken record (as if broken records weren't already depressing), I apologize for the quality of pictures this past week or so. It has been too dark to take them before I leave, and I definitely can't take them after school because I look all kinds of frazzled.

I'm linking up with Bloggers Do It Better for their Oxblood challenge. I never really thought of this as "oxblood." I mean, who came up with that? Why not dragonblood or something cool? Oxblood? Either way, I managed to snag this skirt while thrifting about a year ago--it still had the tags and everything.

When I put this outfit together, my mind immediately thought of this:

Oh, Velma. The most under-valued and under-appreciated member of the Mystery Inc., Crew. I'll spare you my slightly-feminist rant about how the most intelligent female on the show was the least attractive, yet the "cute one" was klutzy and always needed saving...(well, you got the gist of it just now anyway), and just say that I'm glad that this color combo has appeared all over runways. I'm glad that Velma is finally the cool, albeit hipster, stylish one.

I had two of the same belt and I've been waiting for a chance to wear them together!

I love this pencil skirt - and those belts are a great way to pull it all together!
