Mixaroo

Yep, rockin' the side pony again.
I can't be outwardly lazy, so I just get lazy with my hairstyles.

What I Wore:
Shirt: Target - $3 (supposed to be a "sleep tee")
Skirt: H&M - ~$10 (not sure the exchange rate)
Necklace: Forever21 - $5
Belt: Forever21 - $5
Earrings: Forever21 - $3
Shoes: Old Navy - $22

One thing that I have noticed since starting this blog is how much more adventurous I have been with mixing patterns. I feel so much more free now that I'm not confined to a mental block where everything has to match perfectly. This outfit was actually from my last day volunteering at camp last week. While I walked around the room giving individual instructions, one of the 5th graders looked up and told me that she likes my style. I thought that was a pretty cool compliment--most people say "I like your skirt" or "I like your outfit," but this chick got me.

XO,

PS: HEY HEY HEY....I still need substitute postsI don't need them until July 1st, but I am just reminding you that I do, in fact, need them.

PPS: Things might look a little different around here--I thought that a black and white theme (and an even simpler header) made things look a little...well...simpler.

PPPS: I am contemplating a blog name change and switching to my own domain for my blog's anniversary this month. I'll be sure to let you know beforehand if anything changes. Thanks in advance for your flexibility! :)

I love your outfit!  I'll definitely try to do a substitute post; it's such a fun idea. :)

Print mixing is so much fun. And I love your take on it here! That skirt is darling. Love the new look of the blog as well, it's always great to freshen things up a little bit. Hope you have a great week, Whitney!

I like the idea of mixing the patterns too. The necklace a definite thumbs up.
However, the earlier design of the blog looked much more convenient to me.

Well, I like your style, too. What's not to like? =) The stripes and the flowers = perfection!

Thanks so much, Callie!

By the way, I have not been ignoring your comments on purpose! I have been getting them through email--and then I discovered that Disqus has been hiding your messages for some reason! I fixed the problem so we should be good to go now! :)

I am still warming up to the idea of pattern mixing--so I'm definitely still practicing, too.

Thanks, Ruby! Truthfully, the only major change was that I moved the sidebar to the left instead of the right...perhaps if no one gets accustomed to it, I'll move it back.
