First Day of School

Good evening, friends.
I know, I know...cleverly worded title. I wanted to get straight to the point.

Today's First Day of School Outfit

I love these colors!

What AM I Wearing?
Turquoise Ruffle Tank: Target - $5
Pencil Skirt: Target - $26
White Cardi: Again, Target - $15
Turquoise Shoes: Yes, Target - $20
Lime Green Belt: Not Target, but Amazon.com - $5
Earrings: Gift from Mother-in-Law (she has the best taste in jewelry gifts--I love everything I have from her)

Today's outfit brought to you by: Target! Even my bra was Target...I realized that while I was at the gym this afternoon.

Again, I apologize for my (what husband calls) snippy mood yesterday. I still blame it on the weather ('cause today was sunshiny and perfect).
I really appreciate your sweet comments and encouragement! It felt really good to vent--and for you guys to see that I'm human, afterall. (that was a def *wink* statement)
I still hold that mangoes are obnoxious to cut up. (I cut one up a couple days ago and it is SO delicious. I'm obsessed with them right now).

First Day Re-Cap:
IT WAS AWESOME!
Granted it was only a half-day (to ease all of us into school-mode), it's safe to say that I think it's going to be a great year.
I missed being in the classroom so much. The kiddos are excellent this year--and the ones from last year stopped by to give me a hug or say hi. Gosh, I miss my first year group. They were such sweeties--it's amazing how much students emotionally invest in their teachers. It's such an awesome relationship.
Middle School is awesome (as an adult).
I really don't have any stories to tell yet, but I definitely like my schedule. I was a bit apprehensive because I have one planning period and it's during 3rd period. I think it will be nice to have a breather halfway through the day instead of going for five hours straight like last year.
Cheerleading planning seems to be taking up a majority of my planning time right now--not sure how that happened, but it is. We have cheer camp this weekend (which means a super long week for me this week--and next) and we've had a slight issue getting our uniform orders in and getting everyone on the same page. I'm with the program--everyone else should be, too (that kind of thinking gets you into trouble, for sure).

Tomorrow is another half-day with a first full day on Friday.
I'm ready. Bring it.
XO,
W

Sounds like you had a great day! Hearing about it calmed my nerves a bit. School doesn't start for me until after Labor Day so I still have some time to relax. But I'm still apprehensive nonetheless.

Yay for a lovely 1st day outfit!

So glad your first day went great! You will definitely love having a break in the middle of the day...it's refreshing and if your morning classes go bad, it's a great time to recoup!

Can't wait til I start! I did get to see some of my student today though as they toured the school. I also saw some seniors that I will have in my 1 senior class. Can't wait!

Jenn: I did! I was incredibly anxious on day two, though. Not sure why. Apprehension is definitely understandable!

M: Thank you! You're one of my sweetest commenters. I think you should hang around for a bit. ;)

Heidi: AWESOME! I love how you dressed it!

Rhoda: Ahh! Seniors! I forget that you're doing high school. I think it would be strange for me to teach "older" ages because I'm so close in proximity to their age group. I know you'll do swell, though! :)

Emma: Thank you! I'm definitely excited!
